Woman Redeemed: Pursuing the High Places
Oct 31, 2023 Season 1 Episode 26

On this episode of Woman Redeemed, we are taking a deep look at Habakkuk 3:19, the book Hinds Feet on High Places by Hannah Hurnard, and what it means to pursue the high places of the Lord.

From learning what it means to walk with Sorrow and Suffering, to encouragement on setting our affections on the things of God, I pray that this episode ministers to your heart and challenges the way you view the difficult seasons of your life.

Above all things, we must remember that this world and it's troubles are not our forever home, we have a hope and the promise of future with our Savior that will sustain us through any and every season of our lives. And if we learn to trust in Jesus, if we sustain ourselves in His strength, He will help us to walk in His High Places.

Scriptures from the Episode:

  •  "No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. "-1 Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
  • "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging." -Psalms 46:1-3 NKJV
  • "Remember the word to Your servant,
Upon which You have caused me to hope. This is my comfort in my affliction,
For Your word has given me life." -Psalms 119:49-50
  •  "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." -James 1:2-4 NKJV
  • But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God... -Isaiah 43:1-3 NKJV
  • Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. -2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
  • And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other. Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. - Genesis 13: 10-12 NKJV
  • Now the two angels came to Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gate of Sodom. When Lot saw them, he rose to meet them, and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground. -Genesis 19:1 NKJV
